What isTitanium Silicide Powder Ti5Si3?
Ti5Si3 usually can be prepared through a casting process, powder-sintering technique, rapid solidification procedure, self propagating combustion method, or other methods. These techniques are susceptible to contamination, high yield, limited, or complex technology.
1. The invention refers to a batch process for making trisilicate Pentatitanium intermetallic powder.
(1) Ti5Si3 compounds were synthesized through vacuum sintering. The process involved the addition of Si and Ti powders at the molar proportion of 3:15.
(2) Following the procedure in Step 1, sinter Si powder and Ti powder evenly together in a vacuum oven. Once the temperature reaches 1350-1450 degrees, turn the heat off and let the powder cool down with the furnace.
(3) The sintered products from step (2) were combined into anhydrousethanol and placed in a ball-mill tank. A sealed ball-mill tank was placed inside a high energy planetary ballmill with AR gas protecting it. It was later refined through the wetball mill method.
(4) Step 3. The ball milling liquid was vacuum dried. It was ground into Ti5Si3 by using a 130 mesh sieve.
2. In Claim 1, the batch-preparation method of trisilicate, intermetallic compound paste is defined as the value of vacuum at the furnace during step (2).
3. According to claim 1’s batch preparation method for a trisilicate Intermetallic Compound Powder, these are the following characteristics: temperature to 1350-1450, at a speed 20/min. Temperature is then kept at the same temperature for 3-5hrs.
4. 1. The characteristics of batch preparation for trisilicate intermetallic complex powder (referenced in claim 1) are: the rotation speed of the planetary ball mill at the mentioned step (3) is 300-500 RPM; the ball grinding duration is 24-48 hrs.
This procedure is used for batch preparation of penta-titanium trisilicate intermetallic compound powder. This eliminates flaws such as self-spreading burning, quick solidification and powder pressing. Reactions are free of by-products. They can ensure high purity and consistent distribution.
