It is water-soluble so it can be used either as the main surfactant, or sub-surfactant for transparent formulations. Its pH value ranges from 4.5 to 6.5, which is very similar to the pH value in the human body. The surfactant can be combined with many other surfactants and has good biodegradability. It is able to be combined with other surfactants or used in sub-surfactants of a sulfateless formulation.
